Collection: Piperaceae (Real pepper)
The real peppers grow on the pepper plant, a climbing plant. To make it easy to harvest the plant, the height is limited, except for the peppers in the wild, such as the black pepper from Wayanad, the Banasura pepper, and the peppers from the rainforest of Madagascar, called voatsiperifery. The fruits grow in bunches, on ears, are stalked (the so-called tail peppers) or not, and share the pungent substance piperine, named after the family name of the real peppers, Piperaceae.
