Collection: Cardamoms

Besides the one and only (green) cardamom, Nature produces various 'pseudo' or false cardamoms, of which the large or black cardamom is the best known. In both Asia and Africa, various plants grow with cardamom-like fruits and seeds, such as the Chinese hairy cardamom and the African korarima, or false cardamom.

A special representative is white cardamom, or kapulaga jawa. This is found throughout Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, but is rarely available in Europe.

We currently offer seven varieties of cardamom, including the pseudo for their sharpnesspeppers calculated mbongo and grain of paradise.
