Collection: Our tail<tc>pepper</tc>s

The most famous, but not any tailpepper is the Indonesian cubeb or cubebpepper (Piper cubebe), a 'real' pepper from the Piperaceae family. Another, less known tailpepperMembers of this family include the – quite rare – Voatsiperifery (Piper borbonense) from Madagascar or Réunion and the Ashanti-pepper of Benin-pepper (Piper guineense) also from Africa. The latter is the less bitter substitute for cubebpepper, ideal for use in sweet dishes such as speculaas and peppernuts.
