Collection: Our tail<tc>peppers</tc>

The most famous, but not the only cubeb pepper is the Indonesian cubeb (Piper cubebe), a 'true' pepper from the Piperaceae family. Other, lesser-known cubebspeppers From this family are the - rather rare - Voatsiperifery (Piper borbonense) from Madagascar or Réunion and the Ashanti pepper or Benin pepper (Piper guineense) also from Africa. The latter is the less bitter substitute for cubeb pepper, ideal for use in sweet dishes such as speculaas and pepernoten.
