Collection: Africa

Africa is an important spice continent, having been so since the time of the Egyptian pharaohs. In the Middle Ages, African spices such as grains of paradise and selim werepepper widely used seasonings in European courts. One of the most important spice countries is Madagascar, where, among other things, vanilla, true cinnamon, and voatsiperifery are grown. We sell the latter, both black, red, and white varieties. An emerging country is Cameroon, where the prestigious Penja-pepper is being renovated.

We offer the best of the continent, including three African descendants of the cardamom family: paradise grain (aframomum meleguetta), mbongo (aframomum citratum) and kororima (aframom corrorima).
