Right of withdrawal
The legislator has provided for the possibility to return items delivered by an online store to the store without giving a reason and to cancel the order. This is called the right of withdrawal. The period within which a claim can be made is called the cooling-off period ( reflection period).
The law provides for a cooling-off period of fourteen calendar days after delivery. But watch out. Perishable food products are excluded from the right of withdrawal for hygienic reasons (food safety), as is custom work.
This exclusion applies to all spices offered by us. partly because we package each order separately in the quantity requested by the customer.The right of withdrawal therefore only applies to non-food items.
If you invoke the right of withdrawal, we will immediately send you a confirmation of your notification and an explanation of the procedure by email.
How does it work?
Based on the right of withdrawal, you have the option to cancel your purchase and request a refund of the purchase price, or request an equivalent replacement product. If you choose the latter, we will - subject to availability - ensure immediate dispatch after receipt of the return shipment.
Any price differences in your favor will be immediately settled with you by means of a refund. In case of additional payment, you will receive an additional order from us with a payment request. Your new item will be sent to you as soon as possible after receipt of additional payment. In both cases you will receive written confirmation of the agreements from us.
After you have indicated that you wish to exercise the right of withdrawal within the cooling-off period, you - again - have fourteen calendar days to return your purchase, provided it is unused and undamaged and in compliance with the rules below.
Who pays for what?
The right of withdrawal entitles you to a refund of the costs of purchasing the product(s) in question, including the compensation paid for handling and shipping costs, if the withdrawal does not concern all products received pro rata .
The costs of returning the product are at your expense, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you.
Three rules for returns
1. the product has not been used
Every buyer is allowed to assess a product's functionality. This is considered 'not used', provided the assessment has been carried out with care. For example, the product may not be extensively tested. In the case of the pepper mills, this means that they can be tried empty. If there is a problem after filling, we refer you to the warranty scheme.
2. the product is undamaged
This goes without saying. If you have received the product damaged, please contact us immediately after receipt via our contact form or by telephone to the helpdesk. Always assess upon receipt whether the packaging is damaged, and you may suspect that the contents are also damaged. Reject seriously damaged packages !
3. the product will be properly packaged and shipped with correct postage
Attention! We do not accept packages that are subject to postage. Make sure there is sufficient postage, and do not use a letter parcel stamp to send a (larger) package.
If the above rules are met, we will issue you a refund within 48 hours of receiving the returned product. In general, you will receive the payment in your account two to five days after the transfer. If the rules are not met, we reserve all rights.
