Africa is an important spice continent. It was already in the time of the Egyptian pharaohs. In the Middle Ages, African spices such as corn of paradise and selim pepper were often used seasonings in the European courts. One of the most important spice countries is Madagascar, where vanilla, real cinnamon and voatsiperifery are grown, among other things. We sell the latter, both the black, the red and the white version. An emerging country is Cameroon, where the prestigious Penja pepper has been cultivated for several decades.
We offer the best of the continent, including three African members of the cardamom family: corn of paradise (aframomum meleguetta), mbongo (aframomum citratum) and kororima (aframom corrorima).
