Mini pepper grinder with pressure mechanism

You will experience it: this gadget is not only pleasing to the eye, but also very practical! It is suitable for grinding all types. pepperbeads (white, black, and red), and the contents are visible through the Perspex window. Ideal for the table! And to enjoy for years to come.

This pepper grinder is not a professional mill, and due to its grinding method (grating), it is not suitable for intensive use, such as in the kitchen. It is intended for grinding dry peppergranules and in the special S-version for grinding dry coarse salt.

The dimensions of the mill are:

By default, the grinder is suitable for both pepper(grains) like salt and provided with a button with the letter "P".

The mini mill is less suitable for grinding tailpeppers, such as voatsiperifery and cubeb, and so-called 'Szechuanpeppers. The berries of this Szechuanpeppers stand open and the seed coat can also be somewhat tough and not be picked up (you regularly make a wasted effort).
But it is possible! Roast the Szechuanpepper crispy beforehand. This also applies to raye timur, mac khen, etc., but note:

Not suitable for grinding pink pepper, piment of maqaw !

General operation

The mechanism consists of a small shaft with a rasping surface. that is pushed through a narrow opening, simply by pressing the button with the thumb, like a ballpoint pen.

If the grinder hesitates—which can happen when many small fractions 'pile up'—hold the grinder upside down for a moment and shake the contents up and down while pressing the grater down a few times (loosely). After that, it will work. Definitely again.

If that is not the case, is could that be the result of too little pepper in the container. Also, when the grinder contains only small fragments during use, it may happen that the grater does not 'catch' them. In both cases, it helps to turn the grinder over first, and if necessary with new pepper to fill up.

Filling the mill

Unscrew the bottom segment, and fill the container upside down to no more than 50%, until the pepper becomes visible in the container window. Keep the shaft as centered as possible so that the unscrewed segment can be replaced without forcing. Do not tighten it unnecessarily hard. This is not necessary and can damage the thread.

Maintenance of the mill

The mill requires hardly any maintenance. If you want to clean the container, unscrew it. Wash the mill with lukewarm soapy water; do not put it in the dishwasher. Reassemble the mill as soon as all parts are completely dry.

Warning

pepperIt contains essential oils. As a result, a deposit may form on the inside of the container, making it opaque. This is unavoidable and occurs especially with white peppersspecies, voatsiperifery and in Szechuanpeppers.

Very occasionally, small hairline cracks appear in the acrylate. These can be the result of prolonged exposure to UV light (set your pepper grinder also for the preservation of the quality of the pepper therefore never in direct sunlight). These cracks are known by the English term 'stress cracks'.

Warranty

A warranty period of 1 year applies to the functioning of this product. Excluded from this are the loss of clarity of the Perspex container and/or the occurrence of hairline cracks, as described above.

The mini windmills are being phased out, meaning they will no longer be available for delivery within the foreseeable future. Consequently, the ability for us to replace parts will eventually cease.
