CrushGrind© Vaasa storage jar - off-white

This storage jar is part of the Crushgrind© Vaasa series. You can use it to store your spices, but also as an interchangeable container for the spice grinder from this series. The jar is made of glass, the lid made of biocomposite material. The color of the lid is off-white.

Last units (out of production)

The design of the Vaasa series is by Sam(uel) Murley of the Danish concept developer Ideas. The pot is nine centimeters high and is Available in sets of two, but also individually. The jar is just like the spice mill too available in the color green.

Durable

The jar itself is made of glass, the lid of cellulose fibers derived from certified wood, mainly from conifers, harvested from sustainably managed forests. This biocomposite has a low CO₂₂ footprint in contrast to similar biomaterials made from edible crops. The biocomposite which uses Crushgrind therefore does not compete with the food production chain.

It is based on nearly 100% renewable materials with two main components:

• cellulose fibers from wood,
• liquid rosin (called tall oil), a residue of pulp production

Cleaning

It glass part can simply go in the dishwasher, the Not the lid. Was the lid like the grinding mechanism of the Vaasa that was always done 'by hand'?
