General operation

The mechanism consists of an axle with a grating surface that is pushed through a narrow opening simply by depressing the button with the thumb, like a ballpoint pen.

If the grinder stutters - which can happen when a lot of small particles 'pile up' - hold the grinder upside down for a moment and shake the contents up and down while pressing the grater a few times (without pressing). Then it will work. definitely again.

If this is not the case, could this be the result of too little pepper in the container. Even if the grinder only contains small fragments during use, the grater may not be able to pick them up. In either case, it helps to turn the grinder first, and if necessary, use new pepper to fill up.

Filling the mill

Unscrew the bottom segment and fill the container upside down for a maximum of 50%, until the pepper becomes visible in the container window. Keep the axle as centered as possible so that the unscrewed segment can be replaced without forcing. Do not tighten it unnecessarily. This is unnecessary and can damage the threads.

Maintenance of the mill

The mill requires minimal maintenance. To clean the container, simply disassemble it. Wash the mill with lukewarm soapy water, not in the dishwasher. Assemble the mill once all the parts are completely dry.

Warning

Peppers contain essential oils. This can cause a buildup of residue on the inside of the container, making it opaque. This is unavoidable and occurs especially with white peppers. pepperspecies, voatsiperifery and in szechuan-peppers.

Very occasionally, small hairline cracks appear in the acrylic.These can be caused by prolonged exposure to UV light (turn on your peppermill also for maintaining the quality of the pepper therefore never in full sun). These cracks are known as 'stress cracks'.
