The Indonesian Lampong pepper is a fine-leaved
Lampong pepper is a fine-leaved standard pepper with fairly small berries. Although it originates from India, it is classified as a Sumatran pepper.
Much is known about pepper cultivation in Lampung, but only since the 15th century. It is certain, however, that pepper was cultivated there considerably earlier, presumably as early as the beginning of the Common Era. For a long time, black pepper was an insignificant crop on Sumatra and elsewhere in Indonesia compared to native varieties.
That changed gradually. By the end of the sixteenth century, almost as much pepper was grown in Sumatra and Banten (Bantam) as in India, the country of origin. Aceh—a region in the far north of Sumatra—was even the center of pepper cultivation at that time.
The Lampong variety is also cultivated elsewhere, both inside and outside Indonesia. It is one of the two varieties of pepper found in the Cambodian

Our packaging
Our packaging
We supply this product in a practical twist-off jar (clear glass) of 128ml and in bags. For smaller quantities we use laminated stand-up pouches with ziplock closure, made of PET and PE. The bag is approximately 90% recyclable and is collected with the plastic.
Our two-layer bio-based kraft bags consist of a layer of 60 gram kraft paper and 80 micron PLA plastic. This bag is 100% biodegradable and can be placed in the green bin.
We use our aluminum bags for packaging larger quantities. These three-layer bags are made of laminated 12 micron PET, 7 micron aluminum and 60 micron PE. This combination makes it not possible to fully recycle the bags. These bags must be presented with the other waste.
The test tubes are made of PS plastic, have a diameter of 16 millimeters and a length of 100 millimeters. The caps are made of LDPE.
