Shipping and returns

We ship our products in sustainable packaging (as little plastic as possible),  as a letter package or as a postal package. Your order will normally be prepared and shipped on the day of receipt of your payment. If we are unable to ship your order within five days of purchase (your payment), we will notify you as soon as possible. After all, you have the right to cancel the purchase if we do not deliver within 5 working days (General terms and conditions art 11 paragraph 3).

How?

We do almost all shipments with DHL. DHL offers the option of letterbox packages with track and trace, a convenient option. After all, you don't have to be at home. Our jars, and that also applies to pepper mills and gift boxes, are always sent by parcel post, to the (home) address or DHL service point specified by you.

As soon as the shipment has been delivered to the service point, you will receive a message from DHL. You have seven days to collect the package there. If you have not done so after three days, you will receive a reminder. When the package has been there for a week, it is considered undeliverable and returned to us. Your purchase amount (including shipping costs) will be refunded after receipt of the package.

We provide practical, sound packaging and ask you to be critical of the condition of the package when it arrives. You have the right to refuse a package if it is visibly damaged and you have reasonable grounds to believe that the contents may be damaged or incomplete.

Discuss this with the deliverer, who will make a note of this in the hand terminal, and if possible take a photo of it, which clearly shows the damage. Notify us immediately.

If the packaging is undamaged, but the contents are nevertheless damaged or incomplete, also in this case contact us immediately via the contact form, telephone or chat function. In that case, take a picture of it too.

We ask you for a contribution towards the handling and shipping costs. The amount of this contribution depends on the order amount and your place of residence, as described below. The handling and shipping costs are for our account (free) when the order amount is € 25.00 or more. This offer is only valid for shipments within the Netherlands.

Shipping costs within the Netherlands

We do not calculate our shipping costs by weight, but by the total amount of the order, the order amount. If that is € 25.00 or higher, we do not charge any costs, the shipment is completely free. If this is not the case, we will ask you for a maximum of € 2.50 as a contribution towards the packaging and shipping costs, if the order amount is at least more than € 10.00.
We will charge you € 4.50 for orders below this amount.

The contribution towards the costs has been increased as of 1 September 2022 due to the exceptionally increased fuel costs. For an overview of the shipping rates see our page Shipping rates.

Your delivery address is outside the Netherlands

If you live within the EU in the following countries, you cannot order directly from the webshop: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Croatia, Latvia, Malta, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In principle, we do not deliver outside the EU. If you live in one of these countries, we invite you to inquire about the ordering options via the contact form. We will be happy to make you an offer.

Return shipments (right of withdrawal)

We pack your spices to order. Partly for this reason, our spices - including pre-packaged ones - are excluded from the right of withdrawal.The statutory cooling-off period of 14 days after receipt of the product applies to non-food items.
